Young Woman Murdered by Basij -- June 20th, 2009

Apparently : Her name is Neda Agha Soltan, 26-27 years old. She was standing with her father at about 19:05 local time June 20th Place: Karekar Ave., at the corner crossing Khosravi St. and Salehi st. in Tehran. A basij member hiding on the rooftop of a civilian house nearby shot her in the chest. The wound severely damaged some mix of her arteries and lungs and she was dead with two minutes. An acquaintance of her family said Neda was a Philosophy student and worked part-time at a travel agency in Iran. Supposedly the government barred the family from holding a public funeral Monday.
